Juventus are reportedly keen on bringing in former Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler from Nottingham Forest to bolster Massimilano Allegri’s options in the middle of the park.
Tuttosport claims that the player would like to return to Italy, having spent six-and-a-half years with La Dea before making a switch to the Premier League last August for a reported fee of €10m.
Now aged 31, it is believed that Forest are unlikely to recoup the full amount of the fee they spent last season and could be open to sending the Swiss international out on loan with an option to buy clause inserted in his contract.
Freuler currently has two years left on his current deal with Forest, having put pen to paper on a contract until the summer of 2025 last year.
Juventus are aware of the situation and hold the player in high regards.
Both Allegri and director Cristiano Giuntoli are fond admirers of Freuler according to Tuttosport. Giuntoli had also attempted to bring him to Napoli last summer to play under Luciano Spalletti in January.
