Juventus want a trequartista and options include Wesley Sneijder, Xherdan Shaqiri and Hatem Ben Arfa.
Max Allegri has made it clear he would like a creative player behind the strikers, something currently missing from the squad built by predecessor Antonio Conte.

Max Allegri has made it clear he would like a creative player behind the strikers, something currently missing from the squad built by predecessor Antonio Conte.
Initially the hot favourite was Shaqiri, who is young, a Swiss international and clearly annoyed at the lack of playing time at Bayern Munich.
However, he is also valued at €20m and that might not be a sum Juve want to spend mid-season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport today claim that Sneijder is a more affordable short-term solution.
The Dutchman already knows Serie A well from his time at Inter, where he won the Treble in 2010, and would be prepared to quit Galatasaray.
Still only 30, Sneijder was recently involved in a row with the Turkish club over three months of unpaid wages.
He has also been heavily linked with Manchester United and their Dutch manager Louis van Gaal.
Another less glamorous target is Ben Arfa, who is currently on loan at Hull City from Newcastle United.
Previously linked with Juve’s Serie A title rivals Roma, 27-year-old Ben Arfa is widely expected to move on in January.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew confirmed the ex-Marseille man is not part of his plans and Steve Bruce also stated “he’s probably played his last game for Hull” after “unacceptable” performances.
“There are a lot of clubs interested in him, despite everything that has been said,” agent Michael Ouzaine told 20minutes.fr.
“He will have a new club in January. That won’t be a problem, don’t you worry.”
