Juventus have reportedly told Gonzalo Higuain that he will not be in their plans next season.
Chelsea sent Higuain back to Juve on Monday, and it had been claimed that Maurizio Sarri was considering reintegrating him into their first team.
According to Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, Juve informed the striker of their decision during a ‘blunt and sincere’ phone call.
The Bianconeri are expected to make a concerted sales push once they complete the transfers of Gianluigi Buffon and Matthijs de Ligt.
Agresti adds Roma offer the likeliest solution for the 31-year-old as they have already permission to negotiate with the player directly.
Although he would not be convinced of the move at this stage, it is assured the Bianconeri are happy to put themselves ‘at complete disposal’ of the capital club.
Therefore, Higuain should end his spell at Juve with 105 appearances, 55 goals and two Scudetti.
