Juve have today marked the tragedy once more, on its 29th anniversary.

“Today’s date, 29 May, is one of silence and reflection in memory of the 39 innocent people who lost their lives at Heysel Stadium in Brussels in 1985,” the club have posted on their official website.

“The memory of those victims, taken from their loved ones on that tragic night, has remained with us constantly for 29 years.

“Not a day goes past when we don’t feel compelled to remember them, and the bouquet of flowers placed at the base of the commemorative monument in Reggio Emilia on 28 April, the stars at Juventus Stadium and the J-Museum area created in their honour are all our way of saying “We will never forget you”.”
