That leaves the ball in the court of the Premier League side, but the website warns that whereas Emery is ‘pressing’ to have the German at his disposal, his club will only consider bringing him in if he terminates his contract with the Old Lady.
There would also be the issue of personal terms, with the 32-year-old currently taking home a €6m salary.
