Sevilla President Jose Castro insists Juventus “have never told me that they’re interested in Steven N’Zonzi” as he refers to the player’s €40m release clause.
Speculation persists that N’Zonzi is Juve-bound, with only a fee standing in the way of the midfielder moving to Turin, but Castro stressed the Bianconeri had yet to present him with “a formal offer”.

Speculation persists that N’Zonzi is Juve-bound, with only a fee standing in the way of the midfielder moving to Turin, but Castro stressed the Bianconeri had yet to present him with “a formal offer”.
“The first thing to clarify is that Sevilla have yet to receive a formal offer for N’Zonzi, neither from Juventus nor any other club,” he told Tuttosport.
“Sevilla want the player to stay at the club for many more years, otherwise we wouldn’t have worried about renewing his contract only a month ago.
“If there really is interest then we’ll evaluate it, but one thing must be clear to everyone.
“We have no intention of letting our best players leave and any talks must start from their release clauses. Plus, Juventus have never told me that they’re interested in N’Zonzi.
“Swapping N’Zonzi for Lemina or Rugani? These are decisions for the sporting management and not me.
“At the moment, we have no meeting scheduled with Juventus. The €40m clause doesn’t expire, it’s valid for the duration of his contract.”
