Tuttosport reports of an initial probing for 22-year-old Bakayoko, a defensive midfielder from Monaco.
His links with the Old Lady are further corroborated by French source l'Equipe, who spoke with his agent, as reported yesterday.
“Juve scouted Tiemoue three times this summer, but he's also being sought after by Manchester United, Stoke City, Leicester and WBA,” said Michel Boli of his client.
The player may cost €10-12m, unless a bidding war should raise the price, but in that case Juventus may simply turn to their alternative target, who is believed to be Caen's Makengo.
The latter is a mere 18-years-old and would need some longer time with the youth squad before emerging amid the seniors.
