According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he still has a chance to face Barcelona on Wednesday night provided that his swab test on the eve of the game comes back negative.
CR7 is still positive but he hopes he can play against Barcelona as the Uefa protocols states Juventus must prove the players has no symptoms one week before the game and Cristiano has never had.
Juventus did provide all the necessary documents to Uefa about Ronaldo’s health two days ago.
The Portugal star will have a new swab test between today and tomorrow and if he tests negative he would be allowed to end his quarantine.
In order to play against Verona on Sunday, however, he’d also need to undergo new medical checks once he tests negative. The same goes for Weston McKennie who can end his quarantine tomorrow, provided that he tests negative.
The whole team, including the American and Cristiano, will have new swab tests today or tomorrow and if there won’t be new cases among the team group, the players would leave the bubble they are living in since McKennie tested positive for Coronavirus last week.
