Stevan Jovetic admits “there's a lot of work to do” for Inter ahead of the new season.
The Nerazzurri were thrashed 4-1 by Bayern Munich in the final match of their US tour, and the Montenegrin forward knows they must do better.
“Today we came up against a better side and unfortunately we lost,” Jovetic acknowledged, speaking to Inter Channel.
“We've played a game every three days and the heat didn't help; we performed better on other occasions.

“However you look at it, there's a lot of work to do before the season starts. We'll improve a great deal after just a few days training with the full squad.”
Mauro Icardi has been heavily linked with a move away from the club, but Jovetic hopes the captain will stay.
“Mauro Icardi is a great player and it will be a shame if he leaves. He looks calm and is training. I hope he stays.”
