Jorginho has conceded that he wants to ‘learn’ from his new Napoli teammates and Coach Rafa Benitez.
The young playmaker was officially unveiled as a Partenopei player this afternoon following his move from Verona.
And the 22-year-old has admitted that he can’t wait to get started with the Stadio San Paolo outfit.
“I just want to give my best in this shirt,” he told a Press conference. “My goal here is to learn from my new teammates and from the Coach.
“I am here to give my best for the club. I can play in many different positions, but I think I do my best work when I’m in central midfield.
“I don’t have any real goals from the season. I just want to go game by game and see what happens.
“I can look back at the end of the season and see whether it’s been a successful one or not.”
Jorginho then commented on his role models as a player, and trying to get used to Benitez’s style of play.
“I don’t know if I have any heroes in football – but I have always looked up to Pirlo and Xavi. I have watched them and tried to learn from how they do things.
“Benitez is trying to get me used to the mechanics of this team. We play with two central midfielders, and is explaining all the different moves to me.”
