Injuries have restricted the international to just four Serie A games – and three of those have been as a substitute.

The man born in 1984 is being linked with a possible transfer to Santos, a club whom he has already enjoyed two spells with in the past.

The 28-year-old is tied to the San Siro outfit until 2014. He reportedly nets €4m a season – making him the club’s highest earner along with Philippe Mexes and Alexandre Pato.
