After 11 matches, Inzaghi’s side sit in third place on 28 points, having scored 31 times in the campaign so far.
“I am happy with what we are doing,” Inzaghi told reporters after victory over the Streghe.
“We approached the match well, we had everything to lose. The boys didn’t underestimate the match and ended the first half 3-0 up.
“For us it is a very important victory.
“Scudetto? We need to take it game by game with the spirit we have shown this week.
“We need to keep going in this way, the target is to stay in these high positions.
“After 11 matches it is too early to make predictions.”
Inzaghi paid tribute to the array of attacking options at his disposal, with Nani having scored his first goal for the club.
“Nani is training very well. He is committed and he has shown willing despite having won everything in his career.
“I am happy with his goal because he deserved it. Let’s not forget Felipe Anderson, who will need time to get back to form but is another solution up front.
“[Ciro] Immobile can play in any way, he gives us the possibility to rotate him with Luis Alberto, Nani and [Felipe] Caicedo.”
The Lazio boss also admitted he has sympathy for Caicedo, who has done little wrong but finds himself behind the prolific Immobile in the Biancocelesti pecking order.
“I have a group that is showing a lot of willingness but I have to make decisions. I spoke with Caicedo at the end of the match, he is giving a lot and needs to carry on like that.
“He has Immobile in front of him and if he weren’t there he would start in any other team.”
