“At the end we allowed two dangerous free kicks that could’ve caused us problems, but overall did well to limit Palermo.
“I will admit the fact the derby is coming up certainly had an effect on the players and the performance. This is the game that our people have been waiting for.
“We’ll prepare for this match the same way we do all the others. It’s going to be very interesting between two excellent teams.”
The situation is incredibly tight at the top of the table, as Lazio and Atalanta are in joint fourth place only one point behind Roma and Milan.
Juventus have seen their lead cut to just four points.
