There continue to be reports that Bayern Munich have slammed the door shut on Benjamin Pavard, despite his desire to join Inter, but that the club has not yet been informed.

While Italian sources claimed last night that negotiations were progressing well, Sky Sports Deutschland suddenly announced that Bayern Munich had called an end to talks and decided to keep Pavard.

This afternoon, Sky Sport Italia maintain Inter have still not been informed officially by the Bundesliga outfit and are waiting for news.

Pavard was intent on making the move to San Siro and his contract will expire at the end of the season, so he could still plan on eventually joining Inter as a free agent next summer.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have given the all-clear for Josip Stanisic to join Bayer Leverkusen, suggesting Pavard is going to stay, as he was the natural replacement in the same defensive role.

Pavard plays primarily as a right-back for Bayern Munich, but would be in central defence at Inter in a 3-5-2 formation.
