The Nerazzurri have been linked with a host of tacticians over the last 48 hours, with current boss Leonardo expected to become Paris SG's new sporting director.

After Argentine Marcelo Bielsa apparently rejected the opportunity of succeeding the Brazilian at San Siro, yesterday saw Delio Rossi and then Gian Piero Gasperini paired.

However, it is being claimed this morning that Mihajlovic is the new top target and his appointment could be made official by Sunday.

The 42-year-old is a former Inter player and assisted Roberto Mancini on the Nerazzurri bench for two seasons before going solo in 2008.

Since then he has bossed Bologna, Catania and Fiorentina. He joined the Tuscan giants last summer.

Mihajlovic still has a year left to run on his contract in Tuscany and thus Inter will have to make a formal approach to the Della Valle family to net him.

Should Fiorentina lose their man then they are expected to make a move for Rossi, who yesterday denied any talks with Inter.

The former Palermo boss was not alone on that front as Gasperini, who saw his name mentioned after a meeting between Genoa President Enrico Preziosi and Inter's Massimo Moratti, did the same.

"It would be an honour to boss Inter, but I haven't been contacted at the minute," Gasperini stated.

"Now is not the time to be talking about these things, I'll do so when the situation is a little more defined."

Although Gasperini is no longer Genoa boss, he is still contracted to the Stadio Ferraris outfit.
