Inter are expected to meet Ivan Perisic’s agent in the coming days, amid interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils are keen to sign the winger this summer, but so far have refused to meet the €55m asking price for his signature.

According to this morning’s Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri would still be willing to talk, but the offer would have to be €50m plus Anthony Martial on loan, or the full €55m.

According to this morning’s Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri would still be willing to talk, but the offer would have to be €50m plus Anthony Martial on loan, or the full €55m.

However, United have already spent around €164m on players this summer, so it’s not clear if they can afford to take that spending up to over €200m.

It is therefore more likely that Perisic will remain at San Siro, and his agent Fali Ramadani arrived in Milan yesterday.

He is likely to ask the Beneamata for a contract worth €6m per season, something that they will not be prepared to meet.

Instead it’s hoped that an offer to make him the second highest paid player in the squad, behind Mauro Icardi, will convince Perisic to stay.

That would see the Croatian international take his salary from €2.5m per season to at least €4m.
