Coach Luciano Spalletti has warned that the Nerazzurri captain could leave if he gets the right offer, though so far he’s given no indication he wants a new challenge.
Now Premium Sport is reporting that the next week could be decisive for his future, with the club planning to meet Icardi and his wife Wanda, who is also his agent, to discuss a new deal.
The release clause would be raised or lowered, in return for significantly raising the Argentine’s salary.
With bonuses, the proposed wage would take Icardi’s wage to around €7.5m per season.
