Inter are considering giving boss Claudio Ranieri until the return leg of their Champions League tie against Marseille to save his job.

The tactician, only appointed in September, is under an immense amount of pressure following the Nerazzurri’s dip in form.

Having won seven straight games in Serie A, the side have now collected just one point from the last 18 available in the top flight.

The 1-0 reverse at Napoli on Sunday was also their fifth straight defeat in all competitions. They failed to score in all five of those.

Although the club are considering a change, they may wait until the second leg of the Marseille encounter on March 13 before making a decision.

Inter chief Massimo Moratti reportedly isn’t convinced by the in-house solutions of Beppe Baresi and Luis Figo.

Some reports on Monday are linking Inter with a move for legendary No 10 Roberto Baggio – despite his lack of coaching pedigree – and Walter Zenga.

Inter lost 1-0 at Marseille last week in their last 16 tie.
