Livorno’s Ibrahima Mbaye played against his parent club and his agent confirms Inter “want to bring him home.”
The 19-year-old Senegalese left-back is on loan at Livorno this season and took part in last night’s 2-2 draw.
“He needs to continue his growth process and that is what he’s doing,” agent Beppe Accardi told fcinternews.it.
“Obviously he was even more motivated last night, as he was playing against the club that owns his contract.
“Mbaye is really improving so much under Coach Domenico Di Carlo, just as he did with Davide Nicola before. It’s easy to play well when you know the Coach has faith in you.
“Di Carlo asked him to stay on and grit his teeth even when suffering from an injury, which shows how highly he thinks of the player.”
The representative had been critical of Walter Mazzarri earlier this season for not having more faith in Mbaye, but the loan spell at Livorno seems to have changed minds at Inter.
“A month ago in a casual meeting with Inter director Piero Ausilio, he confirmed he wants to bring him home.
“In his view, Mbaye is part of the Inter project and the club thinks highly of him. I think that will be the final plan, although in football anything can happen.
“As of today, as far as we are concerned, we don’t see why he shouldn’t go back to being part of the Inter project. He said he considers it to be his home.”
