Cagliari have confirmed that they are in ‘serious’ talks to sell midfielder Nicolo Barella to Inter.
Cagliari are reportedly demanding €50m for Barella, although Inter could clinch a deal for €35m plus defender Alessandro Bastoni.

Cagliari have confirmed that they are in ‘serious’ talks to sell midfielder Nicolo Barella to Inter.
Cagliari are reportedly demanding €50m for Barella, although Inter could clinch a deal for €35m plus defender Alessandro Bastoni.
“Negotiations are ongoing, their interest is real and it’s useless to deny it,” sporting directoe Marcello Carli told Sportitalia.
“Negotiations are never near or far away. The interest is serious and we’re going through it.
“Barella hasn’t asked for anything at all, he’s a smart guy and attached to our shirt.
“He’s thinking about the national team and we’re not even pleased about giving him to them!
“We’re only looking to see if there are conditions, although he can only be flattered by interest from a big club.
“It’s useless to go into details, but we’ll only if we consider players in exchange if they’re up to par.
“We have to find an agreement on the price. Counterparts aren’t a priority for us.”
If not Bastoni, would Eder interest the Sardinians?
“I like Eder, he came to Italy in part thanks to me. He’s a strong lad, I like him a lot and I know he’s a top player.”
However, Carli made it clear Alessio Cragno was going nowhere, the goalkeeper having recently signed a new contract.
“We’ve renewed his contract. The lad is getting married soon and he’s peaceful and calm in Sardinia,” he concluded.
“He’s reaching an important level, but it would be a problem if he left. We’re not thinking about that at all.”
