“Mauro Icardi underwent successful keyhole surgery on a sports hernia this afternoon,” read a statement released by the club.
“The operation was carried out in the presence of Professor Franco Combi by Dr. Giuseppe Sansonetti, a specialist in abdominal surgery and consultant to the FC Internazionale medical staff.”
Although Inter medical staff would not give a time-frame for his recovery, it’s believed Icardi will be out of action for somewhere between 30-45 days.
