Inter have reportedly rejected Roma’s request to swap Edin Dzeko with Primavera hitman Sebastiano Esposito.
Inter are keen to bring in Dzeko as a backup for Romelu Lukaku, but the two clubs have been unable to reach agreement on a fee.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Bosnian would have been Nerazzurro by now if they let Esposito move in the opposite direction.
The 17-year-old, as per the newspaper, is regarded by club officials as the most promising player to come through since Mario Balotelli.

He has been a regular performer during preseason, capitalising on the Beneamata’s lack of attacking options, and is set to put pen to paper until 2022.
Inter seem to have learned their lesson from last summer, when they brought in Radja Nainggolan at the expense of Nicolo Zaniolo.
Whereas Nainggolan has already departed, Zaniolo went on to become a revelation for Roma.
