Sportitalia claim that Inter and Manchester United will have decisive talks for Andre Onana, with the Nerazzurri ready to do a deal for under €55m by the end of Friday.

The Serie A side began pre-season training today and Onana was present, with fans begging him to stay as he signed autographs.

However, his exit is fuelling the entire transfer strategy for the club, including the return of Romelu Lukaku on a permanent basis from Chelsea.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, the crucial conference call will be held later today and they are expected to both take a step back from their positions to make the deal work by close of business on Friday.

The €60m asking price can be dropped to just below €55m including performance-related bonuses.

Onana has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United and manager Erik ten Hag is eager to get the goalkeeper as soon as possible, with their pre-season tour set to begin.

Once the sale is complete, Inter can then purchase both Anatoliy Trubin of Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayern Munich veteran Yann Sommer.

As Onana was a free agent from Ajax last summer, his sale represents pure profit for the Nerazzurri coffers.
