Andrea Ranocchia reveals 'the negativity at Inter overwhelmed me' before he left for Sampdoria.
The former Nerazzurro captain always had a measure of trouble getting into the heart of his supporters, and he isn't being given an easy ride on his loan to Sampdoria either.
“No-one likes to make mistakes,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “An error is never deliberate and I work to make less of them.

“Ever since I started playing I always look at my problems in the face. At the moment, as soon as I make a mistake we concede a goal, and here every mistake counts a lot more because I'm the last defender before [goalkeeper Emiliano] Viviano.
“But I wouldn't like things to go the way they used to at Inter, when people reasoned by prejudice. Even when I play a good game there's a negative judgment, and frankly this bothers me.
“It's right that people should criticise me if I make a mistake, but they can't keep saying that Ranocchia played poorly even when I'm doing well.
“I'm pleased with my performances. I feel alive here compared to the last few seasons atInter, when I was a little overwhelmed by the negativity in the environment.” Finally, the 28-year-old was asked about tomorrow's game against Frosinone.
“For us, it's a Champions League final. It's crazy that Sampdoria should be so low in the standings when they have tremendous quality and the right mix between experience and youth.
“Maybe the expectations at the beginning of the season didn't help. Everybody thought we'd be playing for other rewards, but it's difficult when you have to change targets and Coach.
“I've been through similar situations. It's as much as I can say in terms of giving an explanation, because if you look at this team during training, the situation is unexplainable.”
