Inter

According to the Evening Standard, ChelseAccording to the Evening Standard, Chelsea are ready to make an improved bid for Inter starlet Cesare Casadei with the Serie A giants likely to accept a €15m bid for the 19-year-old.

Chelsea saw an €8m bid rejected by the Nerazzurri last week but are expected to knock on Inter’s door again with an improved offer.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea see Casadei as a player who can develop by training alongside N’Golo Kante and Italy international Jorginho, who has entered the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Inter need a big-money sale to balance the books, and selling Casadei and Andrea Pinamonti would allow the Nerazzurri to cash in €30-40m. It remains to be seen if that will be enough to avoid the departure of a big player such as Milan Skriniar or Denzel Dumfries.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Monday that Inter’s asking price for Casadei is circa €20m. However, the Nerazzurri could still accept a lower fee given that the promising midfielder is not part of the first team and has yet to make his senior debut at the Stadio Meazza.

If Casadei completes his move to Chelsea, he could be loaned out to another Serie A club or spend the season between the Blues’ academy and the first team.

  1. Who is this 19-year-old player who has never played in Serie A (Serie B even?) and is already worth 15m?!!

This is a truly crazy world now. His transfermarkt value is 1m. I guess Tonali must be worth 200m then.

  2. I guess if it was an young foreigner player people
    Won’t mine paying that amount.
Because he young Italian he must be worth much less.
Actually this guy is very talented.

  3. If he is very talented 12mill seems hardly worth selling him for.

Inter have made bad choices in the past when it comes to young talent. Zaniolo and not forgetting giving Pirlo to Milan.

Maybe if he was foreign and past his best they would want to hold on to him a big contract

  4. He was truly dominant in Inters recent Primavera Scudetto. Huge talent! Selling him for €15M without a buyback clause would be incredibly stupid. Play him and sell Gagliadini.

  5. Chelsea is bigger club than Inter so there is no way Chelsea accept buy back, and Gagliardini ? There is no team insane enough to buy him, at best Inter can rescind his contract

  6. Juvenesia Bigger in what way club history or the fact that a dodgy Russian pumped money into a crappy mid table team.

  7. Remember when Milan bought Pato (The Duck) they bragged about him for months in advance, when The Duck arrived he played 4 months of good football and then the rest of the time he quacked like a dude. Milan finally realized they made a huge financial mistake, point is who knows with young players, Inter also had share of really bad buys as well, so I’m not blaming Milan, it is just a general comment.

  8. lol

Pago was a great signing for Milan despite all his injury problems. Milan bought him for 24m, he had a couple of very good years, not four months, and then six years later Milan still sold him for 15m which was a nice capital gain. In that time he scored 63 goals in 150 matches, a good goal per game ratio. He even won Serie A young footballer of the year at some point.

You’d think an Inter fan would know something about flop signings lol

  9. @ Milan fan- You had to made it about Milan and Inter even though I said it was a general comment. bought for 24 Million and sold 15 Million not that he was old he was 24 I think, so in 2 years his price went down 10 million and that’s a great financial gain, Why if he was so good Milan didn’t keep him or at lease sell him close to original price, because he was a flop that’s why Milan off load him 10 million lower. I know you can’t spell but at least learn little math. LOL
