Inter defender Benjamin Pavard returned to group training on Friday morning and is reportedly pushing to be included in the squad for the Lazio game on Sunday.

The France international has been forced to the sidelines since November 4 due to a dislocated kneecap and was expected to remain out of action for circa two months.

However, as reported by Calciomercato.com, the ex-Bayern Munich defender has made a quick recovery as he trained with the rest of the team on Friday morning.

According to the report, Pavard would like to join his teammates in Rome for Sunday’s Serie A game against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

On the other hand, the Nerazzurri’s medical staff don’t want to rush him onto the pitch to avoid relapses.

Simone Inzaghi will make a final decision on Pavard’s availability after a training session on Saturday.

Juan Cuadrado, Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij didn’t participate in Friday’s training session and won’t be available in Rome over the weekend.

Cuadrado is still dealing with an Achilles injury and could be forced to undergo surgery.
