According to Mundo Deportivo, the latest proposal is €3m for a six-month loan spell with option to buy at the end of the season for a further €15m.
This would take them very close to the €20m Barcelona asking price, but it remains to be seen if the Blaugrana would be content with the payment formula, or demand an obligation to buy.
There are also reports in Spain today that Vidal’s future does not necessarily depend on whether coach Ernesto Valverde will be fired.
In any case, he is expected to remain on the bench until the end of the season.
