Inter will reportedly try to sign Sassuolo’s Francesco Acerbi in January, as they want an all-Italian defence.
The Nerazzurri’s owners, Suning Group, confirmed at a shareholders’ meeting today that they would look to strengthen while staying inside Financial Fair Play regulations.
According to calciomercato.com, the Beneamata want to shore up the defence, and could follow the lead of Juventus with an Italian backline.

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has been a target for some time, but the website reports they will push for Acerbi in January.
Inter already tried to sign the centre-back in the summer, offering Andrea Ranocchia in exchange, but the Neroverdi wouldn’t sell.
However, it’s thought the Nerazzurri will make another attempt in January, before trying for Domenico Berardi in the summer.
