The club revealed on their website that the project 'will be developed thanks to the partnership with World Wide Soccer Academy and their Base Brasil project, which is made up of a network of 27 football schools all over Brazil.'
Zanetti explained what he called a ‘prestigious’ project, and looked ahead to this weekend’s crunch Serie A clash with league leaders Roma.
“I’m at a historic stadium to present a project which we value, because it’s very important,” said Zanetti.
“There will be more than 8,000 children involved, it will be prestigious.
“Affection for Inter in Brazil? Yes, here we have millions of fans and with this project we can get closer to them.
“It will be an important thing for the future, there will be a focus on training with our coaches who will share their ideas and work with the tacticians of the area.
“I’m sure we will do a great job, our coaches want to bring their ideas for the future of children.
"I am happy about the victory against Bologna, which was very important.
“Roma bring me fond memories, but this time it will be another game.
“We want to stay at the top part of standings, I think that Roberto Mancini will do his best preparation for this important match.“
