Inter chief Massimo Moratti has admitted that the club are unlikely to sign Corinthians midfielder Paulinho this month.

The Brazilian was the outfit’s top transfer target in January, but the oil baron has noted on Tuesday that their bid has hit problems.

“It will be easier to complete his transfer in June rather than now,” Moratti commented.

“It’s not a problem to do with money, it’s more to do with the player’s commitments to his club in his homeland.”

The Italian giants were ready to offer around €15m-€18m for the South American, having sold Wesley Sneijder to Galatasaray and agreeing to cash in on Liverpool-bound Philippe Coutinho.

Corinthians, meanwhile, have insisted today that they have received no offers for their player.

Inter have also been trying to sign Atalanta’s Ezequiel Schelotto this month, but reaching an agreement with the Bergamo outfit has proved difficult.

“There is nothing new to report on Schelotto,” Moratti added.
