Mauro Icardi is reportedly confident that Inter will bring him back into the fold if they cannot sign Edin Dzeko from Roma.
Antonio Conte has so far refused to give Icardi a second chance after the striker went in self-imposed exile last season following the club’s decision to strip him of the captaincy.
In the meantime, the Nerazzurri have brought in Romelu Lukaku to wear their No 9 shirt and are also working on a deal for Dzeko.

However, Dzeko very much remains a Roma player, with the Bosnian called up for their friendly against Arezzo on Saturday.
The Argentine has similarly failed to secure a move away, and Sky Sport Italia is now reporting he is ‘convinced’ Conte will end up utilising him if Dzeko does not arrive.
That would be nothing less than a shock turn of events, given the Coach is known to be very set in his ways, while he has the backing of the Beneamata board.
