Icardi still bound for Serie A return?

Mauro Icardi seems destined to return to Serie A in the summer following an incredibly disappointing season with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has only played 46 minutes of Champions League action this season, failing to play a single minute against top sides like Manchester City and Real Madrid, and he’s unhappy being such a bit-part player in the French capital.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus’ acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic last months closes the door on a possible Icardi move to Turin, but he could still return to Serie A regardless, with Italy the top of the list of his preferred destinations.

Roma tried to sign Icardi last summer before going for Tammy Abraham and Milan have also been keen on the Argentinian on the past, so there’s a number of clubs he could look to join in the summer transfer window.

Icardi has scored four goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances this season, playing 969 minutes of action.
