Mauro Icardi admits Inter Coach Roberto Mancini “gave me the right motivation” after his double against Udinese.
The striker had come in for criticism after a lack of goals, and was even dropped for the Nerazzurri’s previous game against Genoa.
Ahead of the clash with the Zebrette, Mancini assured he still had faith in the Argentinian, and the forward admits that helped him to get back among the goals.

Ahead of the clash with the Zebrette, Mancini assured he still had faith in the Argentinian, and the forward admits that helped him to get back among the goals.
“Mancini’s words gave me the right motivation, as happened last year,” Icardi explained to Sky.
“As I always say, I have to help the team with goals, and of course I have to help the defence too. The two goals give me confidence.
“It’s also helpful, because there had been too much talk about my lack of goals.”
The Beneamata are winter champions, as they are currently four points clear of the chasing pack with just one game to go until Christmas.
“Honestly we wanted to be top at Christmas, then we won against Udinese and the results of the other teams went in our favour.”
