Mauro Icardi felt Inter “needed to perform and we did, but we dropped off again in the second half” of a 4-2 victory over Fiorentina.
The Argentine bagged a brace in the dramatic evening at San Siro, where the hosts were 3-0 up after 19 minutes and yet risked throwing it away against 10 men.
“It is a game we needed to perform in, and we did, though we dropped off a bit in the second half the same way as in Israel,” Icardi told Sky Sport Italia.
