The Argentine striker gave a long interview to Gazzetta dello Sport today in which he discussed a range of subjects related to his career and life.
“Wanda [Nara, his wife] says I’m crazy, but when I don’t run the risk of compromising my work anymore I’ll definitely do a bit of bungee jumping,” Icardi told the newspaper.

“The idea of jumping into emptiness tied to a piece of elastic gives me a thrill, it doesn’t scare me.
“I never had a fear as a child: the dark, noises, animals, I actually liked the stranger creatures.
“All except cats – I see them a little bit like traitors, they know how to live alone and think only about themselves.
“In football what can you be afraid of? Of a match, an opponent? Come on…
“Of an injury? But that isn’t fear, it’s respect for what could happen from one moment to the next. Pain isn’t a fear either – it passes.
“In truth, regarding only me, I would say that I’m not afraid of death either. If you die, you die and when it arrives it’s already over.
“The fact is that it wouldn’t only affect me and every time I see tragedies, accidents or aeroplane crashes, I have fear: of leaving my family too soon.”
