Inter captain Mauro Icardi notes it will be easier to reach the Champions League this year – “there’s one extra place”.
The Nerazzurri have been aiming to return to Europe’s top club competition, but fell short in each of the past two seasons.
“The first thing we’re aiming for as a squad is the Champions League,” Icardi said in a Press conference today.
“On a personel level I want to keep scoring and helping the team.

“There’s one extra place [for the Champions League] this year and it’ll be easier. I’m sure the club is doing its best to get back among the big boys.
“What team do we fear most? There’s no fear, but you have to have respect. Juventus have won in recent years, but the pitch will do the talking.
“Scoring against Juventus is always beautiful, regardless of the aesthetics.”
