Fiorentina confirm that there is no muscular injury for Luka Jovic, but the former Real Madrid striker is at risk to face Inter with a hip issue.
The centre-forward went off just seven minutes into Monday’s 1-1 Serie A draw against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare.
Initial reports had pointed towards a muscular injury, but a statement from the club now confirms that it is his hip causing the problems.
It will be evaluated over the next few days, but there are already reports on Sky Sport Italia that it puts his participation in this weekend’s clash with Inter in doubt.
Jovic has struggled since his surprise summer move from Real Madrid, but did find the net three times in 15 appearances between Serie A and the Conference League.
Of those three goals, two were against Scottish side Hearts of Midlothian in the Conference League, games won 3-0 and 5-1.
In Serie A, the Serbia international scored on his debut against Cremonese on August 14, but has fired blanks in his last eight appearances.
