The agent of Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain says he ‘isn’t planning a future elsewhere’ and rules out an Article 17 exit.

The Fifa law allows players who sign a deal before the age of 28 to buy themselves out of contract after three years.

However, Higuain’s agent Nicolas Higuain, who is also his brother, denied any imminent departure from the San Paolo.

“We’re doing really well at Napoli,” he told TuttoNapoli.net.

“I’ve been in Argentina for five months, I’m not travelling around the world trying to sell my brother.

“The rumours about Article 17 don’t make sense, a player of his level is never transferred in that way and never will be.

“If tomorrow a club arrived and found an agreement with De Laurentiis it would be another matter and we would talk with him about it, but from our part there isn’t this intention.

“We aren’t planning a future elsewhere.”
