Reports say Gonzalo Higuain could decide against extending his Napoli contract and leave at the end of the season.
The Argentine striker has been in sensational form for the Partenopei this season, scoring 24 goals in 26 games.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that there is no renewal on the horizon, as the arrival of Higuain’s father Jorge in Naples last weekend hasn’t led to a meeting with President Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a new deal.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that there is no renewal on the horizon, as the arrival of Higuain’s father Jorge in Naples last weekend hasn’t led to a meeting with President Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a new deal.
The newspaper writes that the Argentina international’s representatives responded in a ‘mechanical’ way when asked about this, saying: “Gonzalo is focused on the Scudetto, it’s not the time to talk about a contract.”
However, there is foreign interest in Higuain and he could be tempted to move abroad at the end of the season, with PSG and Chelsea linked.
The 28-year-old’s current deal is due to expire in June 2018.
