Udinese's Samir Handanovic has still not given up on his dream of moving to a giant of the European game.

The goalkeeper has consistently been linked with a move away from the Stadio Friuli, but no switch has ever materialised.

Although he says he's content with his present outfit, the 27-year-old has bigger ambitions than what Udinese can seemingly offer him.

"I'm happy at Udine, but it is clear that at my age I am thinking about a big club," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I like to take forward steps in my career, not backward ones," he continued.

"If I do move on to a different team then it will be to better myself. If that is not really an option then I will stay at Udinese."

The Slovenian international is widely regarded as one of the best 'keepers in Italy. He's been linked with the likes of Milan, Juventus and Arsenal in the past.
