Napoli’s Marek Hamsik would cost more than €100m on the transfer market, says his former President at Brescia.
The Slovakian was sold by the Lombard outfit to the Azzurri for €5.5m in 2007 and Gino Corioni now claims he is worth almost 20 times that amount.
“Hamsik is a player who could win the Golden Ball,” Corioni told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli on Monday. “It’s probable that he’ll win it soon.
“Marek is a very serious guy – he’s worth more than €100m.”
The world’s most expensive player is currently Gareth Bale, the Welsh international who left Tottenham for Real Madrid this summer for €100m.
Attacking midfielder Hamsik, 26, has scored 65 goals in 221 League games during his stay at the Stadio San Paolo.
Hamsik signed a new contract with Napoli in the summer which means he is tied to the club until the summer of 2018.
