Marek Hamsik has gone into detail about the injury that kept him out of Napoli’s game with Borussia Dortmund.

The Slovakian forward limped out of the Partenopei’s 1-0 loss to Parma at the weekend, and sat out the game in Germany yesterday.

“I already had some pain after the Juventus game,” he told Sportky. “But I decided to play for the national team against Bosnia.

“It’s an inflammation to my fourth toe on my right foot. I didn’t think it was that serious, and before the Parma game I trained on my own throughout the week.

“But unfortunately, I was forced to leave after just a few minutes. We’ll have to see how it is.”
