While Napoli released a surprise statement this week stating the deal had been “suspended” over a disagreement on payment terms, it was largely just a warning to the Chinese Super League club.

It seems to have worked, because Dalian Yifang agreed to pay the full €20m plus bonuses in one instalment rather than spread out over several years.
According to Sport Mediaset, Hamsik has already flown out to Madrid today in order to undergo his medical over the weekend.
A formal announcement is expected on Monday or Tuesday, ending his 12 years at the Stadio San Paolo.
Hamsik will earn a reported €9m per year in a three-year contract.
