Napoli captain Marek Hamsik says “we have to quickly forget this elimination” by RB Leipzig in the Europa League, as they seek to win the Scudetto.
The Partenopei won 2-0 in Germany last night, but a 3-1 loss at the Stadio San Paolo in the first leg saw them exit the competition.
Maurizio Sarri’s men remain top of Serie A by a point, and the Slovakian international is now calling for full focus on the league.

“We played this return leg as a rematch, with the clear goal of doing everything to win,” Hamsik wrote on his official website.
“We were better than Leipzig, we dominated the match and we didn’t miss much to eliminate the home team. It’s a shame we conceded that third goal last week, because without that we’d be celebrating.
“Now we have to quickly forget this elimination and return with our minds on the league. Cagliari await us on Monday.”
