According to Tuttomercatoweb, Lazio President Claudio Lotito had a meeting today with agents Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci, with all parties agreed that West Ham would be a suitable move.
They can now start to negotiate in earnest, with the player offered a contract worth €3.5m per year.
Sky Sports in England also report that the talks have entered a new stage, leaving Monaco behind.
The 25-year-old forward is extremely quick and skilful, but inconsistent and not hard working enough when tracking back for Serie A standards.
This season he contributed eight goals and 10 assists in 32 competitive games.
