Francesco Guidolin says Udinese sent out a clear message to all of Serie A. “We are in the Champions League race.”
Few expected the Friulani to pick up any points against title-chasing Napoli after two consecutive defeats and with both Antonio Di Natale and Alexis Sanchez injured, but they emerged with a 2-1 victory.
“We have had better performances than this, but it was an important response from the squad after the two straight defeats,” said the Coach.

“We have had better performances than this, but it was an important response from the squad after the two straight defeats,” said the Coach.
He revamped his line-up tactically with a four-man defence and German Denis as the lone centre-forward.
“Naturally Napoli put us under pressure, but we sent out a signal that we're back in the running.
“From now until at least the Easter break, people have to talk about Udinese in the Champions League race.”
The Bianconeri had been unbeaten in 2011 before running into those surprise defeats to Lecce and Roma.
“It was all because of that damned break for international duty, as many of our players came back carrying injuries. I just want my lads to stay healthy. When we train all together without problems, then we'll make people talk about Udinese.”
