Fredy Guarin’s transfer to Valencia has reportedly collapsed, so the Colombia international could stay with Inter.

The midfielder has been on the market for most of the summer, but turned down a move to Zenit and his agent said he was waiting for a Juventus proposal.

Inter are in advanced negotiations with Valencia on transfer deadline day, but the latest reports from Sky Sport Italia suggest they hit a brick wall.

It is claimed the Nerazzurri want a permanent sale and Valencia are only prepared to take Guarin on loan with option to buy.

Talks are continuing, but so close to the deadline it seems to be an unlikely move.

Inter had been waiting to sell Guarin in order to fund the arrival of a new striker.
