Fredy Guarin says the tie against Juventus will be a good early indication of how much his Inter side have progressed under new boss Walter Mazzarri.

The two teams, with 100 per cent records this season, will face off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday evening.

“Every game is an exam in its own way, but it is obvious that this is already one of the most important games of the season because Juventus are a direct rival,” the Colombian told Tuttosport.

“But these are the matches where we can show what we have learned from the teachings of Mazzarri. It is also a chance for us to show our fans the character this side now possesses.

“We always look to put into practice what the Coach is asking us for.”

The Beneamata have just Serie A and the Coppa Italia to focus on this season after ending 2012-13 in ninth place.

“A club like Inter should be playing in all competitions, even in Europe. Now we have only the League and we have to show, day after day, our desire to start winning again.”
