Luca Gotti reckons that Udinese had a different approach in the second half, which allowed them to claim a 3-2 win over Sassuolo.
Udinese have 14 points in 12 games after today’s victory at the Dacia Arena.
“In the second half, we were more aware of our qualities, while in the first half, we got lost after the first difficulty,” Gotti told DAZN.
“We made too many mistakes in the first half, but after the break, we were calmer and more focused on what we had to do.”
Gerard Deulofeu scored the opening goal, but the Italian tactician expects more from the former Milan winger.
“His performance reflects the performance of the team,” said Gotti.
“He was very inaccurate in the first half, despite the goal. He made mistakes that he usually doesn’t make. In the second half, he gave an outstanding contribution in attack and defence.”
