French newspapers claim Fiorentina have a deal for Olympique Lyonnais forward Bafetimbi Gomis.
The report emerged in Le Progres today, suggesting a transfer to Florence is imminent.
“I will be in Lyon very soon to sort out my future,” said Gomis.
“Lyon does not want to keep me, but I will find a new home like I did when I left St. Etienne.”
Gomis is a 27-year-old centre-forward of Senegalese origin who plays his international football for France.
He managed 16 goals and six assists in 37 Ligue 1 matches this season, catching the eye of Fiorentina.
Gomis is in his fourth season at OL and it is believed the Viola are offering €10m.
Other clubs who have been linked with Gomis include Swansea City, Shakhtar Donetsk and Cardiff City.
However, Italian media maintain Fiorentina are closing in on Mario Gomez of Bayern Munich, as it is unlikely they’d be able to sign both for the same role.
